OWON: Wars are so nasty. Man's inhumanity - Why?

14 gripping images reveal what it was like for a Navy Seal to be on the front line fighting ISIS

Note: This article contains graphic content

Ephraim Mattos, 25, served in the U.S. Navy for six years. During his time in the service, he became a Navy SEAL — one of the most elite special operators in the world.

He hasn't been out of the Navy for long. But after seeing what was happening in Iraq with ISIS, he felt he needed to be there to help. “I wanted to do the right thing,” Mattos told Independent Journal Review. So he went to Iraq in May 2017. He traveled on his dime and provided his sought-after services to forces on the ground without taking any pay.

While in the SEALs, he served in Afghanistan as the war came to an end. And he saw a lot of combat there. But Mattos, who spent just three months in Iraq fighting ISIS, saw more conflict in Mosul than his entire time on deployment in Afghanistan. His experiences were both harrowing and horrifying.

They shed light on unimaginable brutality, sadness, and the peace that's come for some following ISIS losing a massive piece of territory in Iraq...

Wisconsin company to implant microchips in employees

A Wisconsin company is about to become the first in the U.S. to offer microchip implants to its employees.

Yes, you read that right. Microchip implants.

"It's the next thing that's inevitably going to happen, and we want to be a part of it," Three Square Market Chief Executive Officer Todd Westby said.

The company designs software for break room markets that are commonly found in office complexes.

Just as people are able to purchase items at the market using phones, Westby wants to do the sam thing using a microchip implanted inside a person's hand.

"We'll come up, scan the item," he explained, while showing how the process will work at an actual break room market kiosk. "We'll hit pay with a credit card, and it's asking to swipe my proximity payment now. I'll hold my hand up, just like my cell phone, and it'll pay for my product."

More than 50 Three Square Market employees are having the devices implanted starting next week. Each chip is about the size of a single grain of rice.

Along with purchasing market kiosk items, employees will be albe to use the chip to get into the front door and log onto their computers...

OWON: The US smashes the Middle East. Russia now sells them Arms contracts.

A sign of changing times in the Middle East for arms providers. Apart from Saudi, the US is out.

Moscow, Baghdad sign huge arms deal

It was reported on July 20 that Russia and Iraq have struck a deal on supplying a large batch of T-90 tanks. Vladimir Kozhin, the Russian president’s aide for military technical cooperation, confirmed the agreement but declined to provide details, saying only «the number of tanks is substantial». Russian military analyst Ruslan Pukhov told Russian newspaper Izvestia that the deal might cover deliveries of several hundred T-90 tanks, and that the contract may exceed $1 billion.

The T-90 is among the best-selling tanks in the world. Hundreds of vehicles have been sold to India, Algeria, Azerbaijan and other countries. A small number of tanks has been delivered to Syria to reinforce the military’s capabilities of combatting Islamic State (IS). Kuwait, Vietnam and Egypt are considering the option of purchasing T-90s.

Known for its firepower, enhanced protection and mobility, the T-90 features a smoothbore 2A46M 125mm main gun that can fire both armor-piercing shells and anti-tank missiles and the 1A45T fire-control system. Standard protective measures include sophisticated armor, ensuring all-round protection of the crew and critical systems, including Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armor and active infrared jammers to defend the T-90 from inbound rocket-propelled grenades, anti-tank missiles and other projectiles...

Climate scientists move global meltdown from 2018 to 2168

In 1988, climate change “scientist” James Hansen predicted that within 20 to 30 years New York City’s West Side Highway would “be under water.”

“And there will be tape across the windows across the street because of high winds,” Hansen said at the time, as recalled by reporter Bob Reiss during an interview 16 years ago with Salon. “And the same birds won’t be there. The trees in the median strip will change. There will be more police cars … (because) you know what happens to crime when the heat goes up.”

Uh huh …

That was about 30 years ago, yet not surprisingly, New York City remains OK for the most part, save for its radical leftist mayor, Bill de Blasio.

So now that Hansen’s predictions about New York City being flooded have clearly not come true, what has he done? Surprise, surprise — the fake “scientist” has upgraded his prediction by claiming in a paper published last year that if the United States continues to use fossil fuels, sea levels would increase by “several meters over a timescale of 50 to 150 years.”

And just last week he addressed the prospect of further temperature increases during an interview with New York magazine. Keep in mind that Hansen predicted in a greenhouse model that there would be “an increase of from two to five degrees Fahrenheit” in global temperatures by 2018, as quoted from December 1998 edition of Spin magazine...

A holiday in France is not without risk these days.

During trump’s Paris visit migrant suburbs saw 900 cars burned in scenes of ‘intolerable urban violence’

While U.S. President Donald Trump was on a visit to France for the national Bastille Day celebrations in Paris, clashes in the capital’s migrant-dominated suburbs saw 13 security force members wounded and 897 cars burned.

The Interior Ministry said 368 people were placed in custody for riots and violence on the nights of 13 and 14 July — scenes which have become a regular occurrence in multicultural urban neighbourhoods of Paris at the start of Bastille Day celebrations each year.

“It is thanks to the large mobilisation of our security forces that there has been a significant reduction of the number of violent incidents, especially those involving fighting on the streets, committed on the fringes of the July 14 festivities,” stated Pierre-Henry Brandet, the spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior.

“Our security forces have been the target of intolerable attacks in the course of several episodes of urban violence,” he said, reporting that 13 police officers and soldiers were wounded in the clashes.

“The perpetrators will have to face up to their actions in court, as will the people who carried out torchings of vehicles — incidents of which there were clearly too many,” Brandet added.

The number of cars burned during Bastille Day festivities rose slightly from 2016, when 855 vehicles were torched, but the number of people arrested last year — 577 — was far higher...

OWON: This is mind blowing in potential now. This backing AI???

‘Angel Particle’ found which could lead to 100 MILLION times faster computers

SCIENTISTS have made a major breakthrough after discovering an ‘Angel particle’ which has been theorised about for 80 years and could lead to a technological revolution that will make your modern day Mac seem like the very first Commodore computer.

At the very beginning of the universe, the Big Bang created equal parts matter and anti-matter, so scientists believe.

If the sets of matter were to ever meet, as particles come in pairs, then they would annihilate each other in a burst of energy.

But 80 years ago in 1937, Italian theoretical physicist Ettore Majorana theorised that there is another class of particle known as fermions – one that is both matter and anti-matter.

The discovery could have huge implications in the world of technology, especially within quantum computers which have the potential to be HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of times more more powerful than a normal computer...
