OWON: There will be blood for this. We shoot to kill.

Live | London Bridge attack latest: Scotland Yard reveals member of public was shot as police gunned down terrorists

Police fired an "unprecedented" 50 bullets to kill the three London Bridge terrorists because they believed the attackers were wearing suicide belts, the country's head of counter-terrorism said.

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said a member of the public also received a gunshot wound in the hail of bullets from the eight officers.

Seven people were killed and 48 injured in the attack on Saturday, with 21 fighting for their lives in hospital.

Twelve people have been arrested in connection with the atrocity after an armed raid in Barking, east London. A further raid has also taken place in East Ham.

Pro-Islamic State social media users claimed the London attacks were revenge for the RAF’s "love from Manchester" air strike, according to the Site intelligence monitoring group.

A photograph emerged last week of an RAF bomb with the message “love from Manchester” written on it. It was on its way to strike Isil targets in Syria. According to Site, one Twitter user posted the image and wrote: "This is your merchandise and tonight we responded."

Earlier, Theresa May warned that Britain is in the grip of a spate of copycat terror attacks in the wake of the London Bridge atrocity...

OWON: Sad, sordid, sickening. Another Clinton nail, all truly sordid, disgusting subhumans.

There is more to this story than meets the eye.

They raided her brother's place in Dearborn recently where apparently they found more Hillary emails.

Perhaps both of these perverts have now made a deal. If so, they will throw Hillary under the bus. Huma has for a long time been a part of Muslim Brotherhood as a Rag head Princess.

Pass the popcorn.

Huma Abedin has invited Anthony Weiner back home

Just when you thought Huma Abedin finally had enough, the Hillary Clinton aide has invited her admitted sex offender hubby back home again, The Post has learned.

Anthony Weiner’s long-suffering wife filed for divorce earlier this month, the same day the disgraced ex-congressman pleaded guilty to sexting with a 15-year-old girl.

But Abedin has since renewed the lease on their pricey Union Square duplex — and invited back home the man who has repeatedly heaped humiliation upon her, sources told The Post.

The luxury three-bedroom, 1,500-square-foot pad at 1 Irving Place features an “expansive, panoramic view of Union Square Park and the midtown skyline,” according to a Corcoran listing.

The sext-crazed pol, who had been sleeping on his mother’s couch in Park Slope, was to move out Tuesday, a source said.

“He was supposed to move,” the building source explained. “But they just signed for another year.”

Another source said, “She still hasn’t served him with the divorce papers.”

Weiner, who will have to register as a sex offender as part of the plea deal with the Manhattan US Attorney’s Office, was spotted Tuesday at about 9 a.m. strolling out of the building with his and Abedin’s 5-year-old son.

A pal of the couple said Weiner has been the primary caretaker for the boy, especially while Abedin worked on Clinton’s failed presidential bid...

How UK prime minister Theresa May fumbled her own election

The surprise British election was meant to be all about Brexit, and to pitch the prime minister as the only serious leader. Now her gamble could backfire.

A week before a British election that was meant to be a foregone conclusion, Theresa May finds herself where no Conservative prime minister ever wants to be – neck-deep in political hot water in the genteel city of Bath.

Home to a comfortable Tory majority in the 2015 general election, this ought to be a parliamentary constituency where the passage of yet more polling should barely cause a murmur . May’s surprise decision to call another election was intended to raid deep into opposition Labour territory and bolster her narrow majority of MPs in time for forthcoming Brexit negotiations.

Instead, the vicar’s daughter who inherited the keys to Number 10 Downing Street after the Brexit referendum result forced the early departure of David Cameron has watched her 20-point lead in the national opinion polls evaporate. Now she is forced to defend stronghold seats like Bath rather than dream of a landslide victory on Thursday.

Just why the former home secretary has lost her reputation for being a safe pair of hands is vividly apparent during a visit to an engineering factory just beyond the city’s Georgian stone splendour. Despite rehearsing her well-drilled message that only a “strong and stable” Tory majority can force a palatable outcome from EU negotiators, May is berated by a woman from the company’s export office who wants to know how it is going to sell its products without access to the European single market. Another factory worker demands to know what on earth she was doing proposing a so-called “dementia tax” in the party’s disastrously-received election manifesto.

Though Brexit remains popular nationally and equally problematic for her Labour opponent, Jeremy Corbyn, he has succeeded in shifting the debate to social issues. An hour earlier, he decides to upstage the prime minister by agreeing to a televised debate that night. A previously supine British press pack is suddenly shouting about why she is not willing to attend the debate. Outside the factory, a crowd has gathered to reprise a hit chant from the end of the last period of Conservative dominance in the 1990s when local MP Chris Patten also lost this seat: “Tories out,” they shout. May’s “strong and stable” mantra looks more and more like a millstone...

OWON: No doubt China is angry at the deployment. When will these fools stop pushing it?

China calls for THAAD to be removed from South Korea

China has once again expressed opposition to the deployment of an advanced US missile system in South Korea, calling on Seoul to remove the controversial Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD).

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying made the remark at a regular press briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

South Korea and the US say the sole purpose of the THAAD system, which is meant to intercept and destroy short- and medium-range ballistic missiles during their final phase of flight, is to guard against potential threats from North Korea.

But China’s state-owned media, citing a statement from the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, said the “deployment will severely damage China’s security interests and undermine the regional strategic balance.”

The statement further said that Beijing was “gravely concerned” over reports about new THAAD launchers, which have been installed in addition to the two that had already been deployed...

Russian lawmaker issues sobering threat: we're willing to use nukes to defend Crimea

As of late, the media has forgotten about tensions between Ukraine, NATO, and Russia. Crimea and the conflict in Eastern Ukraine have largely left the public’s awareness. However, that shouldn’t be the case, because this region is still a powder keg that could blow at any time. And if it does, it could easily result in another world war.

If you don’t think the situation in Ukraine could still explode into a wider conflict, take a look at what this member of Russia’s parliament recently said at an international security conference.

“On the issue of NATO expansion on our borders, at some point I heard from the Russian military — and I think they are right — If U.S. forces, NATO forces, are, were, in the Crimea, in eastern Ukraine, Russia is undefendable militarily in case of conflict without using nuclear weapons in the early stage of the conflict,” Russian parliamentarian Vyacheslav Alekseyevich Nikonov told attendees at the GLOBSEC 2017 forum in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Russian military leaders have discussed Moscow’s willingness to use nuclear weapons in a conflict with military leaders in NATO, as part of broader and increasingly contentious conversations about the alliance’s expansion, Nikonov later told Defense One.

That’s a startling admission when you think about it. It seems the Russian’s believe that if there is a war between Russia and the West, their conventional forces won’t be capable of defending Russia...

Why is the media ignoring America's drinking water crisis?

America has a looming water health crisis and no one seems interested in talking about it.

Over the last year many Americans have likely heard of the lead poisoning affecting the drinking water of Flint, Michigan. We have heard the horror stories of children being sickened due to the failure of Flint’s bureaucracies and failing infrastructure. However, a new report from the Natural Resources Defense Council reveals that Americans in every state are suffering because of failing infrastructure, under-reporting of violations, and lax enforcement of drinking water standards. The NRDC is an environmental advocacy group based in New York City.

The report, “Threats on Tap: Widespread Violations Highlight Need for Investment in Water Infrastructure and Protections,” found close to 80,000 violations of drinking water standards in every state in the U.S. “Very small systems found in rural or sparsely populated areas account for more than half of all health-based violations, and nearly 70 percent of all violations,” the NRDC writes.

Rural towns with smaller water systems are often unable to cover the financial and technological burden required to upgrade infrastructure which could reduce the amount of contaminants in the water.

The report concludes that nearly one in four Americans receive their drinking water from systems which fail to meet federal health standards. This failure is exacerbated by a lack of reporting these violations, as well as a lack of enforcement when violations are reported. The council’s report indicates that water contamination is not exclusive to Flint, but rather, Flint is representative of a national water crisis...
