UK-China trade bromance a blow to White House

OWoN: Boo Hoo, so the White House is not happy that the UK is building bridges and trade with China. Creating Jobs, supporting families, paying taxes, helping ease tensions and enjoying a massive Chinese Tourism boom.

What would this clown have us do? More wars, more stand -offs, more tensions? Shove it! What a Joke of an " Undocumented Worker " illegal President. Who is wrong here? While lining his pockets for his exile to Hawaii. Well he wont exactly make his fortunes from a Speaking Tour afterwards will he?

UK-China trade bromance a blow to White House

By Charles Riley
13 March 2015

U.S. efforts to counter China's growing influence in Asia have been dealt a blow by Britain's decision to join a new China-led financial institution modeled on the World Bank.

Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne said Thursday that the U.K. has applied to join the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). If accepted, Britain would be the first major Western country to become a member.

The AIIB, which will help finance infrastructure projects around Asia, is a major flashpoint in the power struggle between the U.S. and China in the Pacific.

Seeking to limit the organization's effectiveness, the U.S. has encouraged allies in the region, including Australia, South Korea and Japan, not to participate.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew has raised doubts about the bank's lending standards.

"The critical question is, 'Do they follow the same kinds of practices that are working to help economies grow and to maintain strong and stable foundations?'" he said last year at a conference in Washington.

It didn't take long for the White House to voice its displeasure with the U.K.'s decision. An unnamed U.S. official, quoted in the Financial Times, said that Britain made the decision after "virtually no consultation" with the U.S.

"We are wary about a trend toward constant accommodation of China, which is not the best way to engage a rising power," the official was quoted as saying.

Patrick Ventrell, a spokesman for the National Security Council, told CNNMoney that the administration has:

"concerns" over whether the AIIB will meet "high standards, particularly related to governance, and environmental and social safeguards."

He added, "This is the UK's sovereign decision. We hope and expect that the U.K. will use its voice to push for adoption of high standards."

Prime Minister David Cameron has aggressively sought new trade deals with China, drawing fire from critics who say economic pursuits have forced the U.K. to temper its criticism of Beijing on political and human rights issues.

Critics say this dynamic was on display during last year's pro-democracy protests in the former British colony of Hong Kong, where activists are locked in a battle with Beijing over how the territory's elections will be conducted.

Last week, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons released a report on Hong Kong that called for more assertive action by the British government. The committee said that Britain can and should take "an unambiguous position on its expectations for constitutional reform."

  1. This is the new #1, please place general comments here

  2. This was just one child, but the implications suggested are significant

Study: Circumcision Permanently Alters the Brain, Researchers Threatened

    1. Although I can see this traumatizing the infant, I have to call BS on the story.

The Doctor's resume just does not suit the story. The original source of the story indicates "as a graduate student working in the Epidemiology department". He is in no way shape or form educated to be anywhere near that department. Although he is well educated, none is in the medical field at all.

    2. Wow.

Neither of my boys were put through this barbaric procedure.

I can't believe parents actually let someone do this to their newborn children.

We never did Vitamin K or any of the vaccines.

Our culture is so F'd up. This type of stuff just frustrates.

    3. Canauzzie,

An epidemiologist studies patterns in health. It doesn't take much experience to look at 3 MRI's and see a pattern of change.

Just because he is a graduate student doesn't mean he is not qualified.

In the medical field, he is probably 8 years into his study.

However, 1 case certainly doesn't make a definative. But, it definately warrants more study to see if this is a definative pattern and repeatable among various infants.

Trauma based mind control is a heavily studied and used field among the CIA. There is a reason for that. It works to change subjects behavior.

    4. Also circumcision in Canada is discouraged and not recommended. Most doctors speak out against it. You actually have to seek out a doctor willing to do it. And every province, except partially for Manitoba, the procedure is not covered by Provincial Healthcare.

So why destroy evidence when the majority are against circumcision?

    5. JV,

Here is his LinkedIn file. You tell me if he is qualified.

      Paul Tinari

    6. I never did that to my boys either, thank goodness.

    7. Canauzzie, apologize, realized it was a very limited sample, but didn't do the homework needed. Just recognized some truth to it.
Real research needs to be done by qualified professionals and then maybe we can have the truth. Again, apologize.

    8. Canauzzie,

He obviously doesn't have a background in the epidemiology.

The question is why was he working at the hospital for his grad work? a degree in that fieldl really needed to recommend an MRI scan, which is all he did.

Judging from his profile it was probably something to do with the machines used for testing and diagnostics in the hospital.

Maybe the nurses came to him and asked if there was a machine in the hospital that could measure the effects of a circumcision on a child.

He is obviously no idiot. 5 separate degrees.

2 bachelor degrees, 2 masters degrees and a Phd Mathematics with study engineering physics, computer sciences, applied sciences, education and mechanical engineering.

Ultimately, there is not enough information to come to any conclusion either way.

It's an interesting result and deserves further study. I would like to see a long term study on this to see if the brain is effected in multiple subjects, for how long and what that translates to in life.

    9. In UsA this is all a part of the birth process...this is done before the child is returned to the mother after delivery.

    10. Agree Fedup. Know that from my own two sons. That was 20 plus years ago, but am sure things haven't changed much in that respect.

    11. My son is 36, and I was bless with a great nephew 3 years ago and it's still the same.

    12. P,
The shills are moving through the alternative news pages like crazy...there has been some crazy goings on within the last week.

I was posting an article here, and the whole page blanked out.
Like I say, we have to sift the hay, and sometimes we cannot sift it enough...

    13. Agree Fedup, what thought was a good idea was opening up the potential to show there was reason not to circumcise. Possibly people actually providing hard empirical evidence by vetted and respected doctors and hospitals. Doing the research in an honest and ethical way. The article wasn't strong, but could open up the way. Guess, that's too much to hope for.

Yes, the shills have been busy and with Easter coming up am getting creative in the baking way and doing chores, just might give things a rest. Got silly and even found the cookbook I use on Amazon for cheap and will give it to the gal who's been so kind to me. She'll like that.

    14. P,

You brought something for debate, which we are debating - why apologize?

It is just not his qualifications, and I never claimed he was a dummy. The statement that the board would discipline and force the destruction of all evidence just doesn't seem believable given the stance on it.

Here is The College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia stance on it:

“Infant male circumcision was once considered a preventive health measure and was therefore adopted extensively in Western counties. Current understanding of the benefits, risks and potential harm of this procedure, however, no longer supports this practice for prophylactic health benefit. Routine infant male circumcision performed on a healthy infant is now considered a non-therapeutic and medically unnecessary intervention.”

  3. Nice article ProbabilityBroach. It seems like more people are waking up. Thanks!

  4. John
What's the dollar index for dummies version of why the USD is at a buck and what's it truly mean? Assuming time permits for you.

  7. U.S. Is Seeking Billions From Global Banks in Currency Manipulation Settlement

So these banks are fined, where does this money go? Does it go to the investors? Is this fueling the UsA since bankruptcy? This is corruption because the gov't is in bed with the banks?????

    1. I've been asking that EXACT same question for years. We keep hearing about banks being fined BILLIONS of dollars yet NEVER is it said where this money goes??? Why is no one asking???

    2. Somebody did a story about it few years back. Apparently the SEC doesn't go after them. Most do NOT pay the fine.Of course, that part of the story is not covered.Oh, Joe-Blo just saw how the LAW just caught somebody crooked and fined them. All is well.Nothing to see here.

  8. ALL... I don't subscribe to posting for the sake of posting. However, I do want to keep up with the relevant info shared here. I prefer to receive posts on my phone rather than continually visiting the site to scroll through posts. By placing the "." and requesting to be notified I get email updates all of the posts.

    1. Do you use the " or just put.

So if I do this once, I will get all postings emailed to me?

    2. I'm curious about that also! I haven't found a way to get email notification of new comments or articles. I thought I had signed up for it, but it's just an email notification in the evening of new stories. I get emails of new comments at WHA and would like that for here also.

    3. When you subscribe for notifications you will only receive new stories. To receive comments on stories you actually have to post a comment and check the "Notify me" box.

Well I don't want to fill up the comments area with 'stuff' that's not on subject so I just use the . as my comment.

You cannot post an empty box so you have to use something. Be creative if you wish. Perhaps a smiley face, etc.

    4. I get emails of every post at the bottom of which I check the box to the left of "Notify me." This is for any post, whether, or not I post anything.

    5. Nigel, I tried that a couple of times but it didn't seem to work. Hence, my alternative.

    6. Very strange! Canauzzie, what say you?

Could it be because you want the emails to come to your mobile phone? I'm using an iMac at home on my desk. How about you Texian?

    7. Nigel,

Not sure what you are asking. If you click 'notify me' at the end of your comment you will get an email, mobile or not. FB is just using a work around when he has nothing he wishes to say.

Another option would be to subscribe to comments by RSS feed. You will find both posts and comment subscriptions by RSS feed at the bottom of every page, to the right of the Google+ button. One is for posts, the other for comments. That way you don't miss any comment on any article.

    8. Sorry I wasn't more clear. As soon as a new post appears, I scroll to the bottom and check the box next to "Notify me." From then on, I get all of the comments to that post via email. There is no need for me to post a comment. Why does it work for me and not for some others?

FYI, I use Safari on an iMac.

    9. Nigel,

9 times out of 10 it always comes down to cookies and how each browser handles them. Even the site looks different based on browser of choice. And each interacts differently.

    10. Thanks. I can happily report that ONoW looks great on my iMac with Safari. No glitches and the graphics are stunning! Thanks to you (and John) for all of your hard (and effective) work!

    11. If it wasn't for a poor android default browser and blackberry issues, the mobile site would share the same graphics.

OWoN is best on Safari and Firefox, however I format it differently to accommodate Chrome and others.

Mobile version is Blogger default which does not do the site justice, but seems to benefit all users. Sad part is I have no control over it so it shows as it wants. It loses all the graphics and double posts the lead image. Bothers me but is what it is.

I have all versions to check it regularly except for Blackberry, but I just happen to know someone that hangs around here a lot that has one. I do not check it in Opera though because its market share is not enough to do any changes for.

    12. I am happy to report that it works well with Opera, which I use.

    13. Thank you Tony, I will keep that in mind.

  9. Cracks in the 'special relationship'? Obama administration hits out at UK for trying to 'constantly accommodate' China after Britain signs up to $50bn Beijing bank

Britain looking to become founding member of Chinese-led regional bank
But Washington has hit out at Britain's 'constant accommodation' of China
Comments are a rare breach of 'special relationship' between UK and US
China first proposed a new Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in 2013
It has since pledged to put up most of the bank's initial $50billion in capital
Washington fears it could undercut World Bank and International Monetary Fund
But Britain says joining will help the UK promote commercial ties with Asia
"And the cheese stand alone, the cheese stand alone, hi ho the dario the cheese stands alone?!!!!!
    I just could not resist!

    1. TitleUS riled as Britain seeks to join China-backed Asian bank

While US officials reportedly complained over the British move saying it has taken a unilateral decision, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei welcomed UK's move saying China will follow principles of openness and transparency.

To stave off any further financial deterioration; this is the best move that will open world trade in a global market which is protective.

  10. USA bombs Iraqi soldiers to stop their advance against ISIS which the US amongst other parties funded:

The other article that just has been published at OWoN about the spy who helped recruit ISIS members, whilst supposedly fighting against ISIS on behalf of the 'coalition' is also highly interesting. It clearly shows Western duplicity. It also comes as no surprise that Boko Haram and ISIS are aligned as both are funded by the same parties. Maybe Cardinal Ruini had a part in the rise of Boko Haram. Initially Ruini had an army of 400 mercenaries stationed in central Africa merely as a ''hobby project'' as it was stated. Those operations likely expanded.....

    1. Trojan Horse! Now I can understand why Iraq blew the US helicopter out of the air delivering supplies/weapons. I bet there is a lot of "friendly fire" as an excuse to purge the Iraqi ranks on a slide...WOW

  11. Lol.... too funny! Ahhhh, poor old USA! It's not fair it's not fair!!! Fold your arms and stomp your feet. Did somebody not do what you told them to do? How could they!!! They very thought of it!!! Maybe now they will realise nobody is listening anymore. The school bully got served big time and nobody is scared of him anymore, even the geeky kids!

    1. JW, can you imagine "O" having a tantrum? I do...exactly what you're saying is what I imagine. UK had to rethink their strategy before the world passes them by...this is a huge move!

The prospect of HSBC’s Swiss Private Bank facing a criminal trial in France over an alleged tax-dodging scheme became more of a reality on Friday after the state prosecutor advised magistrates to proceed.

  14. Why the US Declared War on Russia

The reasons why the US declared war on Russia, via Ukraine, are very simple to explain…
…Because the ‘reasons’ stem from very simple minded – nay ignorant – predator mindsets:

An audit conducted by the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) inspector general finds that thousands of social security numbers of people who are long deceased were used by illegal immigrants to apply for work, and some numbers were also used to open bank accounts. reports that the March 4 audit has identified 6.5 million social security number-holders who are aged 112 or older, for whom no date of death has been assigned in the electronic file known as Numident.

    1. Obama has done it so why not another similar Illegal following suit.

    2. Yes John, this is exactly the mindset...ignorance breeds more ignorance...this is a great way to make an excuse for identity theft...any excuse is good enough...the whole system is corrupt.

  16. Protect Yourself From Digital Utility Meters

Vatic Note: Its not just the medical damage and harm to our bodies, but its the total violation of our privacy rights guaranteed us under the Constitution. Think about these people..... they are so wealthy, that they have nothing to do with their time, but to indulge themselves in their global domination fantasy, and their insane dreams of who knows what.

  17. John,
Here's a followup report on the Satanic abuse of those young children. Apparently social services took the children away from the mother who reported to the authorities on the abuse in the first place when she learned of it. It appears it's all being 'swept under the rug' at this time. It appears the mother is no longer with the father who started the Satanic abuse ritual with his children. Why can't the mother have her children back? According to this report, the situation as the children described the locations and people is correct. Is there no one trustworthy to investigate this matter?
    HAMPSTEAD Satanic Abuse: UK column.

This situation is beyond horrible! If investigation has been shut down, the abuse continues week after week and more babies are killed!

    1. We are jailing ever more each month. The system is now hugely backlogged but all are being processed. Look at the numbers being sent down,.

    2. John,
I apologize. I know you're doing everything you can. As far as I know, no one is doing anything in this country and the same evil must be going on everywhere. When little faces emerge illustrating the evil, this mother and grandmother loses control. Are there even enough jails on the planet to house all the filth?

    3. You have incinerators and land fills?

On March 17, Israelis votes in general elections. On March 12, Haaretz published its final poll numbers.

It showed Isaac Herzog/Tzipi Livni's Zionist Union party winning 24 of 120 Knesset seats v. Netanyahu's Likud getting 21.

  21. Disclosure after a fashion..

"On last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, President Barack Obama made a strange UFO admission. He said space aliens control the USA, and they are responsible for government secrecy about UFOs. According to the LA Times and New York Magazine, Obama’s admission was nothing more than a joke made in a late night comedy show highlighting his dry sense of humor. But was it? A recent disclosure about UFO secrecy by John Podesta, Obama’s former White House Counselor for Climate Change and Energy Policy, suggests that Obama was serious about a situation he had no control over.

Here is what Obama said in response to Kimmel according to the LA Times:

[Kimmel] wanted to know whether Obama had tried to get to the bottom of the “UFO files” about the mysterious desert region known as Area 51.

“The aliens won’t let it happen,” Obama joked. “You’d reveal all their secrets. They exercise strict control over us.”

But President Clinton once said he’d checked on the matter and found nothing, Kimmel protested. “That’s what we’re instructed to say,” Obama responded.

    3 Possibilities IMO:
    1. It's all a joke bc ETs don't exist, which we know from files that is not true
    2. The 'space aliens' are the good guys, who control .gov
    3. The 'space aliens' are the bad guys, who control the .gov aka reptilians nephilim etc??

By definition the good guys leave our free will intact and do not intervene owing to karmic issues and cosmic law, so 1 and 2 are debunked. Which leaves 3. So was O admitting that there are 'service-to-self', dark ETs who are the behind-the-scenes controllers? I think so. This fits with all other info. It's not hopeless though - Pentagon tech now matches theirs from what I have picked up, plus the assistance of the good guys.
